The Douglas A-26B, C, B-26B, C, and A-26K models by Dreamscape Studios represent their latest high-quality products. These models are built to scale, fully painted with realistic textures, and contain intricate details. They feature geometrically accurate radial engines, detailed cockpits and rear gunner positions, and animated features like propellers, ailerons, flaps, and landing gear retraction. Released in 2016, these models are ideal for video animations and simulations. The A-26B Invader was developed by Douglas in the early 1940s as a low-level attack and bomber aircraft with 14 machine guns or combinations of machine guns and cannons. It had an internal bomb bay, high speed, and rugged reliability. Produced in 1943, these aircraft saw action during WWII for both staffing and ground support missions. The A-26B models featured a hard nose with a navigator/gun loader stationed in the forward cockpit, while the A-26C models had a clear nose with a navigator bombardier inside. Both models were used extensively during the Korean conflict, and later underwent major upgrades as the A-26K, which saw action in the Vietnam War. After retiring from military service, some A-26 and B-26 aircraft were sold to foreign nations for their air forces, while others were converted into executive transports or firefighting water tankers. Many of these planes have also been preserved as museum exhibits or warbirds for public display.
