Dreamscape Studios has created high-value models of the Douglas A-26B, A-26C, B-26B, B-26C, and A-26K aircraft. These intricately detailed models are near to scale, fully painted and textured with realistic maps. They feature a single row radial engine, detailed cockpit and rear gunner's positions, animated propellers, and retractable landing gear. The models were completely remodeled in 2016 and make excellent video animation and modeling assets. The A-26B Invader was designed by Douglas as a low-level attack and bomber platform during the early 1940s. It featured 14 machine guns or combinations of machine guns and cannons, an internal bomb bay, and fast, reliable performance. The A-26B models had a "hard nose" with a navigator/gun loader in the forward cockpit, while the A-26C models had a clear nose with a navigator bombardier stationed inside. Both models were used for staffing, ground attack, and low to medium level bombing missions during WWII. After the war, A-26B and C models saw active service in the Korean conflict. The aircraft underwent major upgrades with refinements in wing structure, power plant, and external weapon storage for use in the Vietnam conflict. These were designated as A-26K models. Additionally, the A-26 and B-26 were sold to other nations for military use or converted for civil use, firefighting, and museum display purposes.
