Dreamscape Studios created A-26B, A-26C, B-26B, B-26C, and A-26K models, their latest high-quality aircraft replicas. These meticulously crafted models have near-scale dimensions, realistic paint jobs with detailed textures, and abundant features. They come equipped with geometrically accurate radial engines, intricate cockpit interiors including seats, controls, and instrumentation, and animated components such as propellers, ailerons, elevators, flaps, rudder, cowling flaps, landing gear retraction, and landing gear doors. The A-26B Invader was a Douglas Company's 1940s development to replace the A-20 bombers and Martin B-26. It served as a low-level attack and bombing platform with 14 machine guns or cannon combinations. The aircraft was fast, rugged, reliable, and capable of delivering large bomb loads. In 1943, production began, and they were extensively used during WWII. The A-26B models had a "hard nose" with a navigator/gun loader stationed in the front cockpit, while the pilot and rear gunner manned other positions. The nose mounted eight machine guns for use in staffing, ground attack, and low to medium altitude bombing missions. A-26C models featured a clear nose with the navigator bombardier positioned inside. Machine guns remained in the wings, and strafing was also part of their capabilities. After WWII, these aircraft continued in frontline service under USAAF and later USAF designations before being redesignated as B-26s in 1948 when attack designations were abandoned. During the Korean conflict, B-26B and C models saw active service. The A-26 was then upgraded with refinements to wings, structure, power plant, increased horsepower, external weapons storage under wings, tip tanks for extended fuel load and loiter time, and designated as A-26K. These upgrades were employed in the mid-1960s during the Vietnam conflict. A-26 and B-26 models were sold to other nations' air forces or repurposed into civil use, firefighting water tankers, executive transports, or flying warbirds for public display. Some aircraft were also preserved in museums as warbird exhibits.
