Developed in 2016, these models are perfect for animation projects. The Douglas A-26B Invader was created as a low-level attack and bomber aircraft during the early 1940s, featuring 14 machine guns or cannon combinations and an internal bomb bay. Known for its speed, ruggedness, and reliability, the A-26 went into production in 1943 and served throughout WWII. The A-26B had a 'hard nose' with a navigator/gun loader stationed in the forward cockpit, while the A-26C featured a clear nose with a navigator bombardier. Both models saw action during the Korean conflict, and the A-26 underwent major upgrades for the Vietnam War as the A-26K. Post-war, these aircraft remained in service under the USAF and were redesignated B-26 in 1948. They also served in the Korean and Vietnam conflicts before being sold to other nations or repurposed for civil use, firefighting, or as museum pieces.
