DoubleBlow Silent Ender 3 hotend extruder cooler V0.4 * Designed to be versatile and as quiet as possible * Modular design allows for easy modifications * Compatible with some direct drive systems * Requires two DC DC Buck converters to reduce fan speed * Reduces default part cooler speed to minimize noise ### Requirements * 1-2 pieces: DC DC buck converter (Ex: LM2596, MP1584) * 5 pieces: M3 x 8 screws (2 for BL-Touch, 3 for cooler) * 2 pieces: blower fan 5015 (50x50x15mm) * 4 pieces: standard fan screws (optional if using plastic pin) * 20-24 AWG 2-wire cable (for extending fan cables) * Soldering kit ### Notes * Some blowers are noisy with PWM control, so I use the second DC-DC to control part cooler fan and reduce noise. * Plastic pins can break fans; I'll make changes soon. ### How to Install * Print the design as shown in the picture * Replace fans by cutting old cables and soldering new ones * To install DC-DC converters: * Cut cables in electronic box and solder DC-DC there * Extend fan cables for installation outside ### Why Reduce Fan Speed? * Blower fans are suitable for resistive air applications; they require less power to cool efficiently. * Lower fan speed results in reduced noise. ### Version History * 4th version of the design, now stable and out of Work in Progress status * M3 screws replace M2 screws * Cooler reviewed and improved * New plastic pins for fan installation ### Contact Me * For questions, suggestions, or corrections, please ask me!
