HistoryThe radial engine is a reciprocating type internal combustion engine configuration in which the cylinders "radiate" outward from a central crankcase like the spokes of a wheel. It resembles a stylized star when viewed from the front, and is called a "star engine" in some other languages. The radial configuration was commonly used for aircraft engines before gas turbine engines became predominant.PrintingThe crankcase and piston rods are printed with support on build plate.I printed with PLA+, layer height 0.16 mm.Dimensions 127 x 78 x 127 mm.Weight 0.1 kg.Assembly- Prepare 6 piston rods with 6 pistons and 6 piston Pins, glueing the piston pins in the piston.- Glue the Crankshaft Axle to the Crankshaft Cheek with Crankpin.- Place the Crankshaft Cheek with Crankpin in the Crankcase, The Crankpin pointing upwards.- Place the 6 Piston Rods with the assembled pistons -one by one- on the Crankpin, clicking the piston in the cylinder.- Glue the other Crankcheek to close the Crankshaft.- Place and glue the crankshaft bearing and the Crankcase Lid to the Crankcase.- Place and glue the Propeller and the Knob to the front and back of the Crankshaft.
