Double Roller Cabinet Catch Clip

Double Roller Cabinet Catch Clip

thingiverse

There are several types of roller catches used for keeping cabinet doors securely closed. Typically, they consist of two rollers attached to the cabinet frame itself, accompanied by a clip on the door. Some door clips fit between the rollers, which are then sprung - this description does not apply to the present case. The other style features a clip that completely encloses the rollers, with all the springiness located within the clip - this is what we're discussing. Up until now, I haven't subjected these roller catches to thousands of cycles, but based on my observations so far, they effectively keep doors closed as well as, if not even surpassing (and providing a smoother operation), the performance of their metal counterparts. Version 2 (20200328): After approximately eight months to a year, the initial version of this would inevitably break at a crease where the bow shape met the flat portion. Version 2 is slightly thicker overall and eliminates the corner, where stress tends to accumulate.
