Double Precision MXL Y, Printrbot SImple V2
thingiverse
After October 23, 2013, Printrbot's Simple V2 model included a string tension device; thus, the mounting locations no longer align with this design. This version, however, creates extremely smooth prints, albeit with a maximum speed of approximately 50mm/sec due to the printrboard's step/sec limitation. Nonetheless, this is not too significant since the Simple's posted limits are 60-65 mm/sec. Moreover, you can double your acceleration and XY jerk settings, resulting in similar overall print times but smoother prints. The revised instructions from December 24, 2013, include an updated belt part number that accommodates both X and Y upgrades. For accurate belt length, secure the 624 bearing holder temporarily, string the belt, mark its position through the tension block, and then remove the holder to adjust for extra length needed to fold the belt back over itself.
