After seeing a post on the Facebook Group: "A second look at using old lenses for astronomy" https://www.facebook.com/groups/1484777181687589 I decided to try making an eyepiece out of 2 pairs of 50mm binocular objective lenses. It works very well! The inner two lenses are turned so that the same sides face each other. Same with the outer two: [ [ ] ]. The current design makes a 2" eyepiece. I did this using Open Scad, so all of the parameters can be modified/scaled to different lens sizes.
