Double Pendulum [clamp to desk]
thingiverse
Hi! This is my first upload, but I'll be sharing more projects soon. It's my take on creating a double pendulum. The concept: A simple setup showcasing the beauty of chaotic movement. This model is designed to be mounted on your desk with a lamp or furniture clamp, or any other clamping mechanism you prefer. To get started, you'll need 2 - 608 skateboard bearings (and an optional third one as a counterweight), a clamp, and hot glue, depending on your print requirements. Important note: The clearance between the bearings and the printed parts is 0.2 mm; however, feel free to comment if you'd like me to adjust this value for your pendulum to work properly. To set it in motion, grab one or both arms, give it a little spin, and watch the magic unfold. At rest, this model stands at 30 cm (300mm) tall, but can extend up to 55 cm while in motion.
