Double Helix da Vinci Dice Tower 2
thingiverse
This is a unique staircase dice tower inspired by the majestic Château de Chambord, which drew inspiration from Leonardo daVinci's ingenious designs. This version was created to be an eye-catching dice tower with less practicality than its predecessors, focusing on visual appeal over functionality. Each side of this tower will redirect dice in one direction or another, making it ideal for concealed Game Master rolls. Unfortunately, this tower is not suitable for use with four-sided dice (slide) or crystal-shaped dice. You'll need to print three key components: "Top" x1, "Bottom" x1, and "Body" x1. Additional prints can be added to increase the tower's size. Supports are necessary for staircase sections, but windows should print without them if you use good settings. You have two options when it comes to assembly - glue can be applied through peg holes for a secure bond, or the tower can remain unglued for enhanced portability. This dice tower was designed with small printers in mind and is compatible with standard-sized dice (about 20-25mm). If you're using larger dice, simply scale up the model in your slicer. Please note that this project is still a work in progress! I'm refining the tolerances, testing print settings, and conducting dice rolling experiments to perfect the design. Expect updates with photos once these fine-tuning efforts are complete.
