Double Geneva Reciprocating I Mechanism
grabcad
Originally, I published a Reciprocating Dwell Time Geneva Mechanism design. A variation of this mechanism uses a different construction. An upcoming version will feature an alternate composition. This mechanism receives continuous input at 12 [rpm] and outputs between 0-29 (or -29) [rpm]. It moves 90 degrees forward, then returns to its original position. The design was modeled in Solidworks 2016 and rendered with Simlab Composer 8 Mechanical Edition. Edited frames were saved as AVI/X264 and BMP files before being remuxed into MP4 format using MyMP4BoxGui. Gifs were created with PhotoScape, while renders were edited with IrfanView. All files, including 3D-PDF, FBX, BLENDER, ZIM, SIMLAB, DAE, STEP, IGES, Parasolid, OBJ, SketchUp, 3DS, and DWF, are animated. The ZIM file can be viewed on Android and iOS devices using the free Simlab CAD Viewer app.
