Double Filter Montana Mask

Double Filter Montana Mask

thingiverse

The Montana Mask appears to be one of the most frequently used designs in the COVID-19 crisis. A primary concern with this mask is its limited airflow, which can make breathing difficult due to a relatively small filter surface area. This design addresses that issue by doubling the filter area. This mask is not intended for medical use and has not undergone fit testing, so it cannot be considered personal protective equipment (PPE). The Montana Mask was developed in collaboration with the Evansville Responds maker group and received financial support from the Ivy Tech Foundation and the EVSC Foundation. To ensure a tighter seal, a lip and grid are added to the exterior of the filter grid insertion point. Supports are required for this design, which typically takes approximately 7 hours and 30 minutes to print.
