Double-Decker MPCNC
thingiverse
Work in progress and repository for modified parts being created during the process. * XYZ_J_Burly_Label: similar to XYZ_J_Burly but includes a label for tension bolt B. * XYZ_J_Burly_Label_Trimmed: identical to XYZ_J_Burly_Label but also features cutaways around outermost bolts for easier assembly. * XY_J_Burly_Label: no different from XY_J_Burly except that it has labels for tension bolts A and C. * CornerBrace: experimental alternative to corners where vertical leg can pass through, now includes slot for belt, although method for securing belt is not yet complete. * C_Roller_With_J_Gantry: allows mix-and-match rails with legs and side rails made from 3/4" EMT conduit while gantry and Z-axis are constructed from 25.4 mm tube. * XYZ_J_Extra_Burly: same as XYZ_J_Burly but has extra material around outer nuts to aid in tightening. Image depicts ultimate goal, a sketch featuring blue and yellow rails made of 1" tube while green rails are 3/4" EMT conduit. Goal is for it to be very stiff even at high Z-axis levels. Mix-and-match approach aims to minimize cost by applying extra stiffness where it produces the most benefit. Same license as source material will be attached.
