Double Cross Antenna Wire Mounting Piece
thingiverse
This part is used to attach the 8 pieces of wire that make up a Double Cross Antenna securely. The wires should be positioned at an angle of exactly 30° for optimal reception quality. Two cable ties per wire are utilized to secure it firmly in place, and they work exceptionally well from my own experience. I highly recommend using very flexible and quite thin cable ties. Four screws are used to attach the mount to the wooden frame (specifically designed for wood with dimensions of 20x50mm). I used wire (featuring a steel core with a copper coating) with a diameter of 2mm, although other sizes will also work perfectly. UPDATE: I constructed a second antenna using Aluminium tubes and it functioned extremely well.
