Double Convex Side Scraper - AkHk-49-1137
sketchfab
Early Paleo artifacts hold significant value in understanding human history, and a recent discovery at the Parkhill Site in Ontario is shedding new light on the earliest inhabitants of North America. A well-preserved Double Convex side scraper, crafted from the finest Collingwood (Fossil Hill formation) chert, has been unearthed at this site, with estimates suggesting it dates back approximately 10,500 years before present. Notably, large side scrapers of this nature are rarely found outside of Early Paleo sites, making this find particularly significant in reconstructing the lives and tools of our ancient ancestors. The side scraper itself was carefully scanned using cutting-edge technology from Artec Spider, with precise images captured through the advanced software, Artec Studio.
