Double Bearing Assembly

A double bearing assembly, designed for shaft support within a housing, features two axially-spaced inner races on the shaft; each has an outwardly extending shoulder section adjacent one end. Outer races are placed in the housing, spaced apart from each inner race. Each outer race possesses an inwardly extending shoulder section at one end, facing away from its neighboring outer race's shoulder section. Rolling elements reside between each pair of races while at least one biasing member presses one outer race to keep associated rolling elements trapped between the inner and outer shoulder surfaces.
