Double Arm Gripper is an innovative feature for the Robotino FESTO v2, designed to tackle a challenging task project of the Indonesia National Selection of ASEAN Skills Competition XII Bangkok 2018. The primary objective of this robot is to move cans based on their color from the port location to the target destination. What's more, the colors of the cans are not the only distinguishing factor; they also vary in height at each target location. To achieve this complex task, the device relies on an Arduino Nano v3.0 microcontroller, which expertly controls two servo motors in each arm - a total of four arms - and a single stepper motor to raise or lower the object that has been grasped. The input signal is derived from Robotino's digital output, ranging from 0 to 24 volts, which is precisely controlled by the Robotino View software, the programming tool for the Robotino system. For gripping purposes, four emax servo motors are utilized, while a Nema17 stepper motor handles the lifting and lowering operations.
