Double Amazon Dash Button Case
thingiverse
After designing a single Amazon Dash button, I realized that I wanted to create a group of three buttons next to each other and designed a case for that purpose. Then I discovered that I could modify the original model to achieve a modular design that can be easily assembled on my computer for two or more Amazon Dash buttons! Here is a ready-to-print version made using it, which holds two Amazon Dash buttons. There are ready-to-print single and triple button versions available online, as well as the modular page. This design is intended to be used with either the sticky pad included, which can be stuck to the inside back of the case, or a 1mm thick spacer/foam pad to hold it in place. The back holds securely in place due to friction, unless removed and reattached multiple times. I left some extra space around the outside of the dash to accommodate shrinkage from different printers, so if the dash isn't secured with double-sided tape or similar, it may rattle. This design is perfect for sticking onto a wall next to whatever you want to control/order. At home, I use alternate versions that can hold multiple Dash buttons, where I've cut an icon for what it controls into the case, as I don't actually order things from Amazon with them, but rather talk to a Raspberry Pi listening for the broadcast when they connect to my network. I created this design in Solidworks and included those files, as well as the STLs for printing. The case is 3.2mm thick, which is the minimum thickness I found necessary to prevent separation of the inside and outside walls with my printer's 0.4mm nozzle.
