A double-acting pneumatic engine, achieving a maximum angular velocity of 1660rpm, a total weight of 1.615kg, and an rpm-weight ratio of 1028rpm/kg.The criteria and constraints of the project were as follows:- The engine should be able to run for at least one minute. - The engine should reach at least 1000rpm. - The cost of outsourced materials should be no greater than $60. - The engine must displace 50 +/- 3cc of air per output shaft revolution. - The engine must connect to the compressed air source through 1/4″ plastic tubing.- The engine must attach to the mounting plate using only machine screws.
