Double AA-Battery to D-Battery Adapter

This device is designed for use with 2 AA rechargeable batteries. In this setup, the "D-battery" produces 2.4V, which combined with 3 other AA-to-D-Battery adapters like Thing 107924 yields the 6V typically required for some Nerf guns. In the rendered images, metal parts are visible. These components must be crafted from a ~4mm wide metal strip. Such strips can be difficult to locate. In Germany, they are commonly included in file organizers such as Flexi Filing Strip. From there, they can easily be extracted, cut and shaped into form. Be aware of the isolating surface coating on these strips, since they need to conduct electricity.
