This adapter makes it possible to attach 22mm medical filters directly onto the Decathlon Easybreath mask's draining valve. The design is currently being tested for its effectiveness. Used alongside a custom-made curved filter positioned under a protective suit, this setup is designed to provide a secure seal. To ensure an air-tight connection, the adapter is sealed to the mask body using silicone. Once sealed, the drain valve can be easily removed from the mask. However, it's essential to note that these modified masks should only be used as a last resort when all other options are exhausted. There is ongoing debate regarding their effectiveness and suitability for use as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
