Dotted dice - d6, d0-5, and d9-9

These are classic dice with pips (dots) on them. I'm including three versions: d1-6_pips.stl is a standard d6 with the pips on each face numbered to match, five dots for the five-face. d0-5_pips.stl starts counting at 0 instead of 1 and has the pips numbered to match. d9-9_customisable.stl has nine pips on every face. This allows you to paint each face to make any arrangement you want. You might want the d0-5 for randomly selecting items from a list, because you could roll two or more dice and still have a chance of rolling one. I've tested multiple prints of both these designs using the simplified chi-square test described by Delta, and found them to be fair at α = 0.05 with 120 rolls each. Print Settings Supports: Yes Infill: 75-90% Notes: If you print the die flat, the bottom face will become squished and unreadable. The solution is to rotate it 45° so that it's resting on only one edge. You'll need a brim. It's also a good idea to generate support so the die doesn't wiggle while it's being printed. If you want these dice to have the best chance of being fair, print a two-perimeter hollow box and measure the thickness of the wall. Then set the number of top and bottom layers close to the wall thickness divided by layer height. This should give you similar amounts of plastic at all sides. I recommend printing with a brim to prevent warping. Post-Printing Fill the recess with paint and let it dry. For the d1-6, the numbers on opposite sides will always add up to 7. For the d0-5, they will always add up to 5. Changelog 3 May 2016 Replaced all of the models with ones that I've designed in OpenSCAD. 26 Mar 2016 Realized I had brainfarted and put nine pips on the six-face of the d1-6. Whoops! 25 Mar 2016 Initial release.
