Dota 2 Itsy Courier

Dota 2 Itsy Courier

thingiverse

This is a replica of the Itsy Courier from Dota 2. I have also separated her backpack from her body, so you can print them separately and glue together, or use a dual extrusion printer to print both at once. I previously printed a poor version of this model (some legs failed, that's what the cover image is of). I am going to try again with dual extrusion and ninjaflex, and I'll post pictures when I have a better version to show off. If you can't wait that long, consider printing her upside-down since her legs don't seem to generate supports well in Simplify 3D. Edit: Unfortunately all of my dual extrusion printers are out of commission, so the ninjaflex print will be delayed for now. Sorry! I'm sharing this model, but not its design. This replica of the Itsy Courier is taken from Valve's models on the Dota 2 Workshop. The cosmetic details were created by talented individuals with much more skill and imagination than I have. If you're interested in learning how to get these models, you can find the stock files in the Dota 2 Workshop. To turn those files into something printable, follow this tutorial. Sadly, due to the new Source 2 engine update that introduced a file format which locks all models inside, it is currently not possible for me to retrieve files from Dota 2. All of my game models are assembled and repaired using Blender and Netfabb (which also sponsors the club) and then sliced with Simplify3D (also sponsoring the club), before being printed at Brandeis University's MakerLab as a member of Deis3D. Soon, I will post this model along with instructions, photos and Factory Files from Simplify 3D.
