Dota 2 iPhone 5c Case
thingiverse
I'm designing an iPhone 5c case featuring the Dota 2 logo on the back. To print this design using dual extruders, I split the printing process into two separate parts. Initially, my plan was to simply print the case in red and then apply black spray paint afterwards. However, after discovering rodabollo's unique approach, I decided that a more effective method would be to combine both colors during the printing process. To ensure a perfect fit, it is crucial to check your printer's dimensional tolerances beforehand. In my case, I had to sand down my print extensively to make it fit properly. Print Settings: Printer: Da Vinci 1.0 Rafts: No Supports: It Doesn't Matter Resolution: .2 Infill: 10-15% Notes: I used thick shells in my printing process as I wanted the case to be long-lasting. If you're using ABS, similar to me, it's a good idea to resize your design by 1% to account for shrinkage. Post-Printing: Optional Since I printed with ABS, I applied acetone to adhere the logo to the back and smooth out any imperfections. You might need to sand away some material to achieve a proper fit.
