Dornier 17Z 1:200 WIP
thingiverse
Work-in-progress on a Dornier 17Z, targeting a 1:200 scale model for Blood Red Skies (BRS) or comparable games. Compatible with BRS stands that feature a triangular insert. UPDATE (06/01/2020): A new full version is now available for resin printing. The no-supports option allows you to add your own supports in the method of your choice. Alternatively, I have uploaded a version featuring minimal tree-based supports generated from Meshmixer, which are positioned on the engine underside and should come off with minimal effort and negligible marks, or can be sanded off entirely. Update: A newer model (20190107a) has been added, featuring both supported and unsupported versions. This updated design includes an enhanced cockpit to emphasize windows and frames when printing at a small scale like 1:200. Although untested yet, it will be put through its paces soon. The older version (20190104a) remains available as well, as it does not feature the exaggerated changes and may be more suitable for larger-scale prints. Further refinement is still needed to improve the tail insert, with the goal of completing this in the next version.
