The Doric House stood in a state of disrepair during the sweltering summer of 2017, awaiting the onset of a thorough restoration that would breathe new life into its ancient stones. Walls cracked and faded, their once-proud façade now worn by the relentless passage of time, while ivy tendrils wrapped themselves around crumbling columns like skeletal fingers, as if attempting to reclaim the structure for nature's own purposes.
