I designed Chin-up/Pull-up bar brackets for use with a 1" EMT Electrical conduit available at any hardware store. I mounted it between two walls, ensuring it's securely fastened to studs, but it can also work in a doorway. To secure the brackets, I used #14 2" long wood screws. The bar can be easily removed by sliding a 1/4" bolt through holes on the side, preventing twisting. Drilling a hole into the bar is necessary for this step; I used a 1/4" drill bit to do so while the bar was in place. This optional feature helps prevent twisting during exercise. The brackets support up to 200lbs with ease, and the bolts provide most of the structural support rather than the plastic components.
