Doorbell ESP32CAM - V2
thingiverse
Hello, I've created a doorbell with an ESP32CAM and Esphome for Home Assistant. The capacitive touch button captures a snapshot, streams ten seconds of video, and sends notifications on Android and via email using SMTP. Code for Esphome is available in the download file section. Enjoy! PS: I need to adjust the pexiglass (two round shapes up) to fit perfectly inside the case. To ensure a minimum level of waterproofing, I might use some clear silicone as well. The capacitive touch switch can be found here: https://www.banggood.com/10Pcs-2_5-5_5V-TTP223-Capacitive-Touch-Switch-Button-Self-Lock-Module-p-1132674.html?rmmds=cart_middle_products&cur_warehouse=CN. Since the doorbell is located outdoors, near my automatic sliding gate, I've installed an AC to DC step-down converter. The motor of the sliding gate provides 24Vac power to each security infrared cell (Rx, Tx). So, I'm using a single cell to tap into this power source. UPDATE: V2 Due to the capacitive touch switch being too close to the AC/DC step-down converter, there are frequent on/off false events. To resolve this issue, I've redesigned the case with increased height to provide more space for the capacitive touch button. Unfortunately, the pexiglass on the first picture is too short and needs to be remade as well.
