Door / Thing Grabber
thingiverse
Use a hand grabber to prevent unnecessary contact with viruses and germs. This versatile tool can be used to open doors, operate toilet flushes, call elevators, switch lights, or even work on some touch screens. It's available in two-sided printing, without support needed, and can be made from PLA, ABS, or any other material you prefer. Regular cleaning is essential, as germs can linger on the grabber for hours or days if not sanitized. Hand sanitizer can help keep it clean. For added strength, use three fingers to operate the grabber; both pushing and pulling are possible. A slot is designed for a retractable key holder, which is highly recommended. You can also print this design 5mm thick by using the scaling option in your slicer, but be aware that it may not be as comfortable. This design draws inspiration from previous attempts that didn't quite meet my expectations. Some deliberate choices were made to minimize print time and optimize the footprint on the print bed, allowing for a larger batch size - typically 16-24 units per batch on a CR10S. The grabber has also been successfully printed on an Ultimaker 3.
