I get caught in doors sometimes. A friend posted a Thingiverse link (thing:636350). The experience prompted me to design something to avoid future door scrapes. I increased the surface area of contact between the door and the stop, which greatly reduces the force exerted on the door. Instructions Replace your old cap with this printed one, targeting the fixed side - not the adjustable. Since manufacturing tolerances might vary, consider scaling the part for an optimal fit with your door stop. Support structures are required depending on your printer model.
