Door stop robot
thingiverse
The robot has become wedged under the door! Can't get your hands on a 3D printer? Want one already built and assembled? Buy it now at my shop. I printed both STL files on the same bed with supports and a raft, in PLA, 0.2mm layer height, 1.2mm shell and 10% infill. This model fits doors with about 1 cm clearance under the door. The head needs support to print the head-body connector, plus it has trouble sticking to the build plate due to its angle. I couldn't print it without a raft! The body doesn't require support, but if you slice it with Cura and enable supports, Cura will add some support underneath the lower hand. This is actually beneficial because the arm is too heavy for the hand to make good contact with the bed area. Although a raft isn't strictly necessary, it would be helpful in this situation. Made with SketchUp Make, fixed with Microsoft 3D Builder, sliced with Cura and printed on a Robo 3D R1+.
