Door stop and latch for Wanhao Duplicator 4X
thingiverse
This weekend, I attached the top cover and door on my Wanhao duplicator 4X printer. Initially, I encountered issues with the door not staying open and potentially going inside the printer when closed. To resolve these problems, I designed and printed fixes at 0.2mm layer height and 30% infill. I used cheap double-sided tape with a foam center to attach these fixes to the printer, as it offers springiness that complements the rigidity of PLA. Although adding rubber to the door stop could provide additional protection upon closing the door, it may be unnecessary due to the thin and light acrylic sheet. For installation, print at your preferred resolution and secure with double-sided adhesive tape. The latch, placed on the top cover, should hook over the front and handle when the door is up. If needed, use multiple layers of tape or a separate plate to adjust its height. The door stop simply prevents the door from opening too far.
