Door Stop

Door Stop

I keep this handy device to prevent my one-year-old daughter from slamming her room door shut and getting her fingers caught between the door and the frame. To make sure it stays securely in place, I added tensioners to hold onto the door and wedges at the ends to facilitate smooth sliding. After uploading my OpenScad design, I tweaked it a bit because the customizer made it look unappealing, so I revised and re-uploaded it. With this being my first upload, I've noticed several mistakes, including boolean values that didn't appear in the customization options - but I figured out how to create a dropdown menu with the intended choices. Initially, I had wanted users to be able to remove the guides and tension blocks through the customizer, so I'll make those adjustments tomorrow. Last year, I discovered a similar device online, but I can't seem to find it again, and I'm not sure what search terms would lead me back to it. Since I couldn't locate it, I decided to create my own design using Sketchup, then thought I'd give OpenScad a try as well - this being my first attempt, I included numerous customization options in the hope of creating something useful.
