I made some key adjustments to the original concept: I divided the central plate into two sections so that one half could be painted red (stop) and the other half green (go). I eliminated the curved parts from the slider, ensuring that when it's covering one end, it's fully concealed. I also widened it by 1mm to make sliding smooth and effortless. I reworked the end caps as well, making them shallower and removing the pointed guides. They weren't necessary after all. To achieve this, I had to use my Dremel to slightly enlarge the circles, resulting in a remarkably snug fit now.
