When repairing the cylinder, the plastic cracked suddenly. The original part had a 47mm diameter and was partially hollowed on one side, yet it still contained four washers. After removing three of them, the device functioned smoothly. I lightly sanded the screw holes and the sides so that the rosette fit perfectly.
