People at work still grabbed door handles even though a foot pull was present, making it hard to break the habit of using doors by grasping their handles. This should work with 2.125" holes for handles in 1.250"-1.750" thick doors. A lug with a #6 drywall screw was added so that people wouldn't unscrew the plug on bathroom doors. The lug fits into a standard 1" hole where the latch is typically assembled on a door knob. **This Is Not A Latch** People use their existing doors without a handle or giant hole in it, which is what this plug enables them to do. It removes the common handle that everyone touches with their hands, possibly carrying germs and viruses. The groove was designed for a 75mm x 3mm O-ring from oil filter gaskets on my 2001 VW Jetta VR6 engine. A raised crush rib (~0.5 mm high) should eliminate the need for this. There are holes in the face of each plate that match my 30mm x 4mm spanner wrench from my Makita Angle Grinder, making it easy to remove them if needed.
