Door Pedal - Open doors with your feet!

The world is in a state of flux, but one community has been remarkably proactive - the maker community. Globally speaking, they have consistently demonstrated their ability to adapt and respond quickly. 3D printing, in particular, has proven its efficiency by rapidly producing innovative solutions to pressing problems. The recent surge in new designs is a testament to this trend. Visors, masks, and objects designed to minimize contact with door handles are just a few examples of the many creative ideas that have emerged. The idea of avoiding door handles when opening doors resonates strongly with us. However, we found the existing solutions lacking in their practicality. Most designs required either using one's elbow to open the door (an awkward and potentially unhygienic solution) or fiddling with a makeshift hook attached to a key ring (which indirectly meant touching the door knob). We concluded that opening doors with one's foot was a more effective approach. This led us to design a 3D printable door pedal.
