Door Opener
prusaprinters

This tool helps you to open and close doors. With two of them you can push a grocery cart. The end of the hock can be used for pushing pushing buttons. For instance traffic light or elevator. I have printed some in dual color and single color.
I decided to print with 0.2mm layer height on purpose in order to generate a smooth surface which is easier to clean. High infill which increases strength. And I printed in a flat orientation which increases the strength too.

The pictures show the first version which wasn't strong enough. Please read below what I have improved in the meantime

Print instructions

Qualitiy before quantity. I tried to print the hook with 0.3mm layer height. The top layer looks absolutly uggly and is very rough. So I decided to stick to 0.2 which gives a really nice finish. I use 30% infill and 3 perimeters simply because the first attempt with 2 perimeters and less infill fail when I tried to open a very heavy door at work. We don't want things to fail now-a-days, do we? ;-)

Why do my pictures always appear upside down, no matter how I orient them here on my computer? Luckily magic happened and at least the first one is right.
