To build the system, you'll need a spring with a diameter of about 9mm and a length of 3-3.5cm. I used one from my broken mechanism that I was trying to repair. It's crucial that the spring remains compressed, even slightly, when the system is not in use. The spring support must be positioned with its open end facing down to prevent the other piece from coming loose and causing issues. When printing this part, make sure to set the resolution to 0.1 or higher if possible. Supports will likely be necessary to ensure a successful print. Keep in mind that just because this piece fits my mechanism doesn't mean it will fit yours, so proceed with caution and thoroughly test it before reinstalling it on your door. You don't want to find yourself locked out or stuck inside!
