In the redraft challenge, a two-stage lock was designed for enhanced security at exterior home doors. This innovative lock features secondary bolts that reinforce the door when locked, preventing forced entry. When not locked, these bolts allow easy reopening. Additionally, it comes with two fobs for automatic unlocking and relocking upon closing the door. The owner can also use a regular key if necessary. Universal compatibility requires only drilling new holes for the strike plate and internal installation. Internals are made of brass, but zinc is an option. Customers can choose from various door handles and lock patterns. This lock can be adapted to fit keypad locks or Norman doors. The challenge was undertaken by Austin Coleman and Tyler Buchan.
