I discovered a three-dimensional scanned lion that was made into a wall-mounted model which can be attached to a nail or screw using standard hardware tools. The design is now available for download on the popular online community known as Thingiverse if you would like to create more replicas of this item in your home. Using software programs MeshMixer, SketchUp and VisCAM, I worked on modifying the scan by removing parts surrounding the actual sculpture and solidifying it to make it compatible with three-dimensional printing techniques. To maintain structural integrity, I cut out a thin circle and head section which I later replaced with an outer ring adding extra body material for reinforcement.
