We crafted this design specifically to address a nagging issue with our household door. Every winter, the door frame shrinks so significantly that the latch can no longer properly seat within its designated latch plate. If you're experiencing a similar problem, simply scale the Z dimension, print out a replacement, and securely install it behind the existing latch plate. Keep in mind that the shape of your latch plate might necessitate some corner sanding to ensure a snug fit within the cutout.
