Our evil cat (Finnegan) got himself trapped in the bathroom the other day. He was in there for several hours and his parents (myself and my wife) were horrified to think of him getting trapped in such a fashion if we happened to be out of town!! So, I did a quick search on Thingiverse for something that would keep the door from latching and didn't come up with anything similar to what i had in mind, so I made this little simple thingy myself. Guessing it should fit any number of similar door styles/handles. It fits pretty loosely but you can always scale it slightly if you want a tighter fit. Images are from the prototype, so sorry for the awful printer settings. :) In use, just snap it around the door handle shafts and it will keep whatever door open several inches. Finnegan can easily free himself because the door can no longer close and it is always open at least a couple of inches, allowing him to hook the door with his paw or just smash his little snake-like noggin into the crack to open it!
