Door Knob to Handle Child Proof
thingiverse
This door handle is a rework from things: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4030401 and 1094505. If you dislike circular knobs and want a handle, this has already been tested and works wonderfully. This model also features a child-proof locking mechanism for the knob, so your kid can't easily lock themselves in a room. However, you can still lock the door by pushing your little finger through the hole on the cover. You can secure it with a zip tie. Before printing, you may need to mirror this design. All sharp edges are smoothed out to allow the ziptie to work better. It's recommended to place a few pieces of double-sided tape (the thick kind) on the inside of the handle before mounting it. Avoid putting the tapes on the knob since they will get scraped off while installing the handle. Next, pass a ziptie through the small hole and zip it up! Make sure to watch where the head of the ziptie ends up so it doesn't bother you. I suggest setting more layers for the walls than your normal prints.
