Door Knob Converter

Print both pieces flat with the taper out on top. I used three #10-24 1" screws to fasten the parts securely. The back plate slips effortlessly around the doorknob while the front screws fit snugly into place. The back portion is printed with #8 threads, making it a perfect fit for #10 screws. This piece was designed specifically to fit a standard indoor 1 7/8" door knob. The tapered inner areas flare out perfectly to hug the door knob securely. There are two versions of the front piece - in the picture, "left facing" is shown - handle pointing left, away from the door frame. Use the "right facing" for the opposite side of the door knob for a seamless fit. If you encounter issues with the level slipping, consider wrapping a strip of painter's masking tape around the knob before attaching the print. This simple trick can make all the difference. I created this piece to make doors easier to open when someone has a flare up and their hands are in extreme pain.
