I got fed up with watching people shell out cash for door opener keychains, so I decided to roll my own design. I attached a channel that cradles 1/8th inch copper rod, allowing it to make contact with your fingers and function as a stylus for touch screens at checkout stations and self-service kiosks. Rolled up aluminum foil might actually work just as well, or even better.
