Door handle for furniture restoration

Door handle for furniture restoration

I was finishing the restoration/transformation of a piece of furniture that I had recovered from my grandmother and I was missing a handle for the door

I had the idea to make it with a piece of wood based on the model of the drawer… But I said to myself why don't make it with my 3D printer instead

I designed it with Fusion 360. I added the slot for 2 nuts embedded in the handle that I will insert making a pause during printing to fix it on the door

For a better surface I used the "Variable layer height" feature of PrusaSlicer which generates layers from 0.25 to 0.07 depending on the profile of the handle

I printed it with Prusament PLA and painted it with Gold color paint after sanding and 2 layers of primer

Again a new usage of 3D printing

On top of .stl files I uploaded .f3d one so you can modify the design and adapt it to your needs

As usual, feedback and comments (and for sure "likes") will be always welcome. Feel free to post nice pictures of your makes

Enjoy

If you like this model, take a look also at my other designs
