To create a DIY printer modification, start by acquiring a 32x32 cm plate with a thickness of 2-3 mm made from acrylic glass. Place the necessary components onto the plate and drill holes in it for mounting purposes. When using "DoorHolder2" pieces, ensure they are positioned on the outer side of the printer, while only allowing the top clip to extend over the plate and reach the front top edge of the printer. This setup enables easy door hanging on one side when opening the printer.
