I was in dire need of something to keep my office door from slowly closing on its own.\r\n\r\nThe solution I found will drag against the carpet just enough to ensure that the door stays exactly where I want it to remain.\r\n\r\nThis particular device has a gap of 1.4 inches for the width of the door, and it works flawlessly with doors that have a gap of about 1 inch above the floor.\r\n\r\nInstallation is incredibly simple - just open the door and slide it onto the end of the door a few inches, and it should stay firmly in place due to spring tension. No glue or other materials are required, and I'm pleased to report that it hasn't damaged my doors or floors at all.
